Dedicated to Heritage – Wine from Our Family

About Masho winemaking

Welcome to Masho’s Winery, where every bottle of wine tells a story of our family’s journey and the rich heritage of Georgian winemaking.

The story begins with memories of a challenging past. Many of us remember the days when our family’s vineyards were seized during Soviet rule. It was a time of loss, as hundreds of native Georgian grape varieties were replaced. 90s were particularly hard, and many vineyards, including ours, were abandoned.

But our family’s dedication to our heritage made us decide to revive our ancestral vineyard, honoring the land and the methods passed down to us. Our winery is named after our daughter, Masho, who symbolizes the hope and continuity of our winemaking tradition.

We cherish the opportunity to share our wines with you, inviting you to experience the unique hospitality of our culture. Our Supra feasts, where wine flows freely and toasts celebrate the joy of life and the importance of family, are a highlight for us and guests of ours. Masho herself, now growing up amidst the vines, represents the future of this storied tradition. She learns from her parents the importance of preserving their heritage, understanding that each grape holds a piece of their history. Masho’s Winery stands as a bridge between past and future, ensuring that the legacy of Georgian winemaking endures for generations to come. At our family winery, located in the picturesque village of Shindisi, we are dedicated to crafting wines that reflect the true essence of this exceptional terroir. Our vineyards, planted on the right bank of the Liakhvi River, benefit from the ideal combination of soil, climate, and traditional winemaking practices passed down through generations.
