Dedicated to Heritage – Wine from Our Family

Goruli Mtsvane Qvevri

Our Goruli Mtsvane, made by using the ancient Qvevri method, showcases the rich heritage and unique characteristics of Georgian winemaking. Hand-harvested from our meticulously tended vineyards, this white wine undergoes a traditional winemaking process that honors the ancient practices.

The grapes are carefully sorted and placed into Qvevri, large clay vessels buried underground, where they undergo fermentation with their skins. This extended skin contact, lasting for about a month, imparts a distinct amber hue and enhances the wine’s complexity. The fermentation process is natural, with indigenous yeast contributing to the wine’s unique flavor profile. After fermentation, the wine is aged in the Qvevri for several months, allowing it to develop its characteristic depth and texture.

In the glass, the Goruli Mtsvane exhibits a beautiful amber color with golden reflections. The nose is vibrant and expressive, offering a bouquet of floral notes, wild plums and green apples. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and smooth, with a rich, textured mouthfeel and a pleasantly tangy finish. The extended aging in Qvevri adds layers of complexity, with hints of spice and a nuanced, earthy quality.

This Goruli Mtsvane pairs wonderfully with a variety of dishes, particularly those of aged cheeses and paultry.
